The Taiga
Also called Boreal Forest and Coniferous Forest!
Look where the Taiga is!
The taiga is a place found in cold places like Alaska, Canada, Russia, and North Europe. This biome has a bunch of little wild fires to boost some decaying matter, by the way, decomposing is a slow process in the Taiga.
Classifications
The Boreal Forest doesn't get a whole lot of rain, but it does get a okay amount. Most years it is anywhere from 14 inches - 33 inches max.
Seasons
The Coniferous forest has 2 main season winter and summer. Fall and Spring may come for as long a summer, together. Summer has many birds and insects migrate up and had sunlight from a big portion of the day. This is because the Taiga is so far north, unless you are in the Arctic Tundra, then it is south. Mostly, the weather is mild (20 - 70 F). During this period the snow melts for the most part and is a little rainy. Winter is dark for a big part of the day and is really harsh and rarely gets above freezing (-65 - +30 F). The normal temperature, or annual, is around -14 - +57.
How long do the seasons last?
Summer - 50-100 days (2-3 months +)
Spring and Fall - 50-100 days (The rest of the 3 months)
Winter- 6 Months
